Kis-My-Galactic Heroes, plus a kinda group update

So Yokoo Wataru and Nikaido Takashi are not completely forgotten after all. They will be in a play in August that is based off the popular novel/anime/game series Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

The play runs from August 3rd to August 12th in Tokyo.

The play seems to below as a part of a series of plays based on the franchise. One of Avex's groups, AAA, had a member be part of one of those other productions so this seems to be through that Avex connection the group has. Also from the looks of it there is a good chance this could get a DVD release as past productions have gotten them.

Also as a Kis-My-Ft2 news tidbit, the taping for the May episodes of Shounen Club were on the 10th and Kisumai were not on the program. They are cited as being too busy with filming for their variety program but I think it is also a sign that they are not going to be a major part of the program anymore. They were actually listed as guests with April's episodes and I do not think they are going to get any less busy as they get more activities, both group and solo. This is most likely the start of Kisumai finally transitioning from regulars of the program to frequent guests.

It probably seems weird that as a Kisumai fan I would be happy about this, but I am. I think this is just another mark of the group moving on from Junior group to successful debuted group. And honestly if they cannot be on SC so much because they are too busy doing other things than I find it hard to get too sad about it. I may miss them on SC but if they really want to make sure they get some strong longevity as a group they need to be moving on to other programs that will appeal to a wider audience.

I would guess we still have at least a few months before either Sexy Zone or A.B.C-Z do the same, but at least without Kisumai there can be a bit more focus on the Juniors on the program. Which already seems to be happening as the Junior Colosseum segments has moved on to feature only the current Juniors.
